The Maha Kumbh Mela, which occurs once every 144 years, began on January 13. Pilgrims from India and abroad have been attending in large numbers. The event will continue until February 26. So far, several political, cinematic, and business personalities, along with common people, have participated in this sacred event. The Yogi government has estimated that over 40 crore devotees will attend the 45-day long event, and over 35 crore people have already performed the holy dips, according to UP officials.

Significance of the Triveni Sangam: The Triveni Sangam is located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh (formerly Allahabad). According to Hindu mythology, taking a bath at this confluence is believed to wash away sins and grant salvation. Every 12 years, the Kumbh Mela is held here, which is recognized as the largest spiritual festival in the world.
