Senior assistant Parvatham Ramakrishna and personal staff Adunuri Ramesh, employed in the office of the district registrar in Warangal, were arrested by the ACB on Thursday in a bribery case. Senior assistant Parvatham Ramakrishna allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant through Ramesh to obtain official favor for processing the gift registration work of the complainant and his elder brother. This prompted the complainant to report the incident to the Anti-Corruption Bureau. He was arrested red-handed by ACB officials today while accepting the bribe amount.

The chemical test results of both hands' fingers and the inner flap of the left back pocket of Ramesh came out positive, confirming the bribe. A sum of Rs 20,000 was recovered from his possession. Both Ramakrishna and Ramesh were produced before the special court for ACB cases in Warangal, following which the court remanded them to judicial custody, ACB officials said. The details of the complainant have been withheld for security reasons. For more updates on such cases in Telangana, visit Telangana Vaartha.
